DTX 125 PRODJECT

I did want to get the original graphics rather than these but worked out far too expensive and the headlight cowl graphics are now discontinued
-
Verry slow progress at the moment but hopefully will get some more pictures up this tuesday Wednesday.. the graphics turned up and are verry good quality for aftermarket ones ... I've also just purchased a kick start mech for £100 off ebay so will try and get that fitted this week but heres a little teaser http://imgur.com/gallery/pPa2cob

So a little later than planned my exhaust just turned up from Portugal http://imgur.com/gallery/lXDtKTq
Looks smart will polish it and get it fitted asap it seems it was sat in the post office for nearly 3 weeks and that it had an attempted delivery but they never left a ticket.... also just managed to get a dtx headlight from fowlers after having to return one as it was so badly packed it was broken when it arrived the second one wasn't packed much better but i can finally start getting it together now -
I also fitted some cheap chinese adjustable levers like an asv replica and there quite good for 15 quid odd to be honest I've had a set on my rs for a while... http://imgur.com/gallery/bJkW6be ...

@stinkwheeler Looking good bud, BTW Royal Mail only holds stuff for 18 days normally, so you got lucky there!!!

Just polished the romeru pipe you can get the stainless up quite nice with a bit of elbow grease and some autosol ..... http://imgur.com/gallery/0HRcGQF
I have now acquired a spare 3mb head and barrel to get bored / or not ..... ported polished blasted and powdercoated pics to follow .... -
@stinkwheeler Go on then, how long you spend doing that!
That's impressive. I've never been able to understand how you polish metals!
-
@stinkwheeler Very shiny indeed, she looks beautiful. To keep her looking like that use this stuff to protect her;
(And you can upload images direct to the thread, just click the camera icon, select photo, click OK and then wait till it's 100% processed before posting).

@Calum i literally used blue roll and autosol and rubbed in in circles i did spend a good 3 - 4 hours though.... and im still not entirely happy i will do it again another once or twice before i put it on and thanks ninja will give that a try

@stinkwheeler :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: Just reduce the picture size on your camera, I always use 1920 x 1080 res and have NP's uploading any pics.
-
@Glynn123 That's the heat affect, which is caused by the metal's properties changing due to the prolonged exposure to the heat being pushed through it. Which is more noticeable on welding seams as the weld causes the molecules in the metal to change slightly, which affect's the metals properties and causes discoloration in the ends of the metal pipes. Only a surface coating like chrome plating will hide those blue and orange tints for-sure, otherwise they will return as you have stated.
@stinkwheeler If you lowered the picture res to 1920 x 1020, you will also be able to store more pics on your camera, as each photo will take up less space on your memory card.
