My issue is that I want both the low and highbeam lit at the same time. Now when I put on my highbeam the lowbeam goes out. Do I risk burning the reflector running with them both?

    Note: Its not a DT125

I mean, no expertise, but I'm sure it'll have an impact. The lighting system is the most expensive system on the vehicle. So it will have an impact. Not sure what though.

You run the chance of overloading the loom and components running both simultaneously, would not do personally
