    Hi so ive just bought a dtre 125 2004 model and the guy was using a different 2 stroke oil so ive taken off the pump and bottle ect and to clean it i used petrol so ive stripped down the pump and now for some reason the pin underneath will not move back up into the slide sort of looks like the valve in a carb and i cant line it back up what do you lot think if it a nee oil pump or csn i rebuild it somhow. Thanks

    @itstom Carb For future reference some carb cleaner would have been a better option.

      Even carb cleaner destroys o rings, can get oil pump refurbed if needs be, or s/h off eBay?

        i would suggest not using the autolube and mixing the oil with the gas

          @oldman i mix the 2 stroke oil with the gas. i use a 2% mix and not need to worry about autolube. works great

              I would have thought something more along the lines of wd-40 gt85. Something that lubricates.

              As said, carb cleaner, brake cleaner, dries out seals. So it's a no go for oil pumps 😕

                    I'm messing, I'm sure he's just teasing you. Gas is ambiguous though. As you can run a car on gas, like LPG. Maybe he thinks you've done an LPG conversion on your DTR 🙂
