Giannelli vs stock
-
Should i buy used giannelli exhaust and silencer. Does it increase power?
-
Stock derestricted is a good pipe.
I went from that to DEP and besides the weight difference, I noticed a good power difference.
-
@Calum So do you recommend the giannelli and what about sound?
-
@jonne123 I have never used that pipe i'm afraid.
-
@jonne123 yes it's a good exhaust. i recommend it and i can at some point link a sound check
-
-
Do i need to adjust the carburator if i install giannelli?
-
@jonne123 bigger main jet. do you have a stock carb?
-
Yes. What is good budget exhaust and it is worth buying? Power increase?
-
@jonne123 all of them offer a power increase however if you want budget and power then gut your original exhaust
-
@jonne123 ask your some motorcycle facebook group if they can sell a performance exhaust for dt125
-
But i have full power 1994 that hasnt any restrictions?
-
@jonne123 Probably won't be that much in it then over a budget pipe. Usually it's the weight of the stock pipe that does it.
Bang for buck in my experience, is swapping the ignition system out for a Zeeltronic.
But I have no experience with the 94 CDI.
Tuning is an art, and not a single component on its own will make that much of a difference. But getting a collection of supporting mods will.
What head are you running? The earlier ones ran the restrict 3BN head. And having that changed will make a difference. 3MB heads came factory fitted to the later models, but are getting hard to come across these days. Having the restriction removed would cost less than finding a decent 3MB head. Talking £35 to have the head modified.

does athena silencer fit stock pipe?
-
@Calum how is the head supposed to be modified?
-
There is a combustion ring on the 3bn head. That needs removing.

Does athena silencer fit stock exhaust?
-
@jonne123 i should imagine it would although i had an old dep on my big one and when i switched to the new dep i had to enlarge the dep pipe to fit the expansion chamber so who knows
