      I'm trying to get the ypvs system set up on my 05 DT and I'm wondering if anyone can send me a few pics to help me set it up?
      Also does the the ypvs system need the battery to operate? Any information would be much appreciated thanks

        It doesn't operate properly without a battery.

        What are you having issues with exactly.

        It's a very simple system to setup.

              @Calum thanks this helps a lot. Do the cables cross as they travel down from the servo to the pv and do the numbers 1 and 2 need to be matched on each one?

                        Anyone have any info on how to pin the power valve. I'm trying to get good low end power and decent high end power. What is the best position to pin it in any suggestions. All help much appreciated

                          Wha?

                          Pinning the powervalve won't achieve that.

                          Fitting the powervalve correctly will.

                          Align the powervalve so that in it's open position, it's flush with the exhaust port.

                          Do this by first removing the exhaust.

                          Slacken both cable pulleys so that the motor can operate freely without damage to the motor.

                          Turn the ignition on and off. Switch the ignition on and wait for the valve to complete half of the operation before switching the ignition off. This is the position the motor will be in when the powervalve is fully opened. Attach the cables and adjust the cables appropriately, locking it off with the locking nut.

                          Then switch the ignition on and off. Confirming that the valve operates freely and opens flush with the exhaust port.

                            @Calum I have no battery hooked up so I'm just going pin again like it already was with the 2 holes aligned up. But I'm wondering if I can pin it in a different position to give me more power in the low end? I just want to stick it in a position and leave it. Do u get me?

                              @Oisin Leave it pinned open, any other position will just be detrimental to performance.

                              Why aren't you running a battery? The servo does work without a battery, I've just felt it's been glitchy.

                              You don't need a battery to set the valve up, it's fairly trivial to set up, you just need it to do a power cycle into a known state I.E. fully open or fully close.

                                      HI @Oisin , not running a battery for the powervalve, a lot of years ago we just
                                      fitted a pedal bike brake lever on the handlebars with some brake cables to the powervalve. That way we could adjust it easily for more top or bottom end with
                                      no electics.
