I know it's not the same, but my RS is too loud for prolonged use without ear plugs. My ears are literally ringing from the noise. I am a sensitive lad though.

Agreed. I prefer quiet engines that make power. Turbo Flutter is a must.
Now an eargasm superbike inline 4 that's a win.
But I can't stand loud Hondas that make fack all power.

wrote on 3 Jul 2020, 09:48 last edited by@Louis-DT-WR Not being funny, my Starlet wouldn't pull with four kids in it and that's actually a rapid motor. I mean it's no Skyline but it's still 133hp out of a 1.3 860Kgs from 1989.

Honda Civic EG6
It's purely the fact that it's low weight and turbo'd. It's competitive let's just say that.
Difference is, those B16s can be tuned to the moon, the 4EFTEs are running into issues around the 400hp mark. Gearbox is sketchy at 300+.

Struggling to change gear....
After some checks, it looks like I was sent the cb750 nighthawk gear linkage.... The bikes share a lot of parts but the lever sits in a different position so the leverage isn't correct for a sevenfifty. But she pulls nicely, actually not too loud

Kudos on doing your own thing bud. Too many people throw excruciating amounts of money trying to put a shine on an already overpollished turd! ðĪŠ

Got all gears back now
Playing around with the appearance.
Covered all the yellow protaper logos.
Blacked out the white seat band.Made up a tank strap belt from a shotgun cartridge belt.
I'll probably out some empty cartridges in it.
I didn't like the "open" side of the belt facing up on the side stand.

Here's a totally random and probably going to take a long time project.
I bought a chassis with v5 very cheap.
yzfR6 front end
Longer cognimoto steering stem. + Top yoke
Continental tkc80 tyres.
Custom tank.
Seat will probably be changed again.
Currently restoring the carbs.
Frame is at the Powder coater after cutting and welding for the seat hoop and tank mounts.I'll get the rolling chassis built up, then custom fenders, battery box, install brakes, controls, lights etc.
If I see a really good bargain on the parts I have just bought them and started cleaning (carbs, look, CDI, )
Going for satin black with some shiny features, modified exhaust and custom intake airbox.
Probably Bitten off more than I can chew so I'll be doing it whenever I get a chance.

Thanks, it didn't take anyway near as long as I thought to get it up and running. I've just been doing some final touches.
I'm going to ride this one on nice days
