Agreed. I prefer quiet engines that make power. Turbo Flutter is a must.
Now an eargasm superbike inline 4 that's a win.
But I can't stand loud Hondas that make fack all power.

@Calum like all the kids in corsas with cherry bombs all noise and can't even pull the gear with their 4 mates in the car eating maccys
-
@Louis-DT-WR Not being funny, my Starlet wouldn't pull with four kids in it and that's actually a rapid motor. I mean it's no Skyline but it's still 133hp out of a 1.3 860Kgs from 1989.
-
@Calum Itβs probably quicker than my Honda Civic EG6 B16 - 170hp ,
@Louis-DT-WR This has turned out real nice! Bet those tyres are loud

Honda Civic EG6
It's purely the fact that it's low weight and turbo'd. It's competitive let's just say that.
Difference is, those B16s can be tuned to the moon, the 4EFTEs are running into issues around the 400hp mark. Gearbox is sketchy at 300+.
-
@Darty cheers man, yes just went for a little spin around the ind. EST.
Struggling to change gear....
After some checks, it looks like I was sent the cb750 nighthawk gear linkage.... The bikes share a lot of parts but the lever sits in a different position so the leverage isn't correct for a sevenfifty.But she pulls nicely, actually not too loud

Kudos on doing your own thing bud. Too many people throw excruciating amounts of money trying to put a shine on an already overpollished turd! π€ͺ

Got all gears back now
Playing around with the appearance.
Covered all the yellow protaper logos.
Blacked out the white seat band.Made up a tank strap belt from a shotgun cartridge belt.
I'll probably out some empty cartridges in it.
I didn't like the "open" side of the belt facing up on the side stand.

@Louis-DT-WR Looking mighty fine there bud!!!
-
@NINJA thanks man. I didn't think I'd actually finish it within a year
-
@louis-dt-wr You almost started from scrap, this one for sure took a long but worthy of your time. its looking amazing pal, are you planning on selling it?? if so, i am interested! lol

@donaldmendez
Thanks, it didn't take anyway near as long as I thought to get it up and running. I've just been doing some final touches.
I'm going to ride this one on nice days
Here's how she stands now.
