Hello from Germany (this time with pictures)
-
Hey Guys, just wanted to say Hello to erveryone. I bought my DT125R 4BL in 2011 and rode it actively till 2014. There after I registered it with 17kW but it was basically just standing around the last years. As all DT's it has a lot of history. I do not want to sell it so I decided it needs a complete renovation. Finally due to the Virus I have time to do it. A few pics from 2012 (after a fresh paintjob):

and with the new headlight

The renovation will include a powdercoating for the frame and swing arm + a fresh paint job (doesn't look that good anymore after some crashes) and a lot of maintenance.
Currently I am struggling to open up the speedo. Anyone an idea how I remove the reset pin to clean it from the inside?

Btw I am here because the German Version dt125.de was shut apparently. Quite sad, there were a lot of good tutorials and nice builds in it. Looking forward to my experience in this community

@chiller1000 if you can see in this picture the reset knob is screwed in with a left handed thread so if you turn it clockwise is it should come off but it won't be easy as it is glued with what I believe is a little bit of threadlock or similar. Just be careful not to break the knob.

@chiller1000 Nice bike welcome aboard!
Order a new set of clocks from here and you can mix parts to get an authentic 'new' set;

@NINJA very convenient, thanks. Will go for it in the long run, when the airline industry is working again.
