DTR125 with 230 lanza engine

Hi so i won a competition on facebook of a 1991 dtr with a 230 lanza engine in and its a weapon, pictures to follow

Nice, those Lanza engines are like 40hp which is nice.
I hear it's a bored 125 so it's not "Ideal" but a good torquey smoker.

@finchfocker Intriguing, what did you have to do to win the competition? I'm interested in seeing the bike as well.

@calum its similar, more like the 200 i think, has the clutch arm on the right hand side
@finchfocker I thought that the 230 was like the 200 but maybe less peaky. The bottom end does look very similar to the one in my dt200wr but I believe it might also be electric start?

@declan its deffinatly 1 of a kind, i am considering on selling but not sure, will see once the weather stays nice lol
@finchfocker well you aren't going to lose any value on it the longer you keep it likely the more it will be worth as parts/bikes get rarer

@calum its very grunty, has loads of bottom and mid grunt, doesnt rev as high as a 125 but then again it doesnt need to, it goes off the clock too lol

@finchfocker Yeah, I heard it's effectively a stroked 125. But that's good.
That's kinda what I want out of my DTR.
My RS is a screamer and I love that, but that goes with the geometry etc.

@calum its great around town or windy roads, was out on it pretty much all day yesturday and just had a massive grin on my face
