Gear selector/lever

Does everyone use the standard DT 125 gear selector lever or can you get others? If you have put up your pics :simple_smile:

I run a RFX Honda CR85 one cause my bike is black and red.

I expect they do Yamaha one for White and Blue, but my bike is Black and red so this ties in nicely

I also run black and red APICO footrests

Im heard that YZ 125 fits as well. Wonder if anyone here tried the gear lever and or brake pedal as well. The apico accesories looks epic . I wish they making them for Dts too £

@Zrako Often I find the 125 stuff bigger as they need to handle bigger boots etc etc. So the 85 stuff seems to fit the DT's nicely. I got a YZ85 aluminium throttle tube on my DT after the plastic ones kept breaking!

@Zrako I'm using YZ Apico lever, the tip of the lever is in line with the DT foot peg, bought it for riding the tralies with boots on,

It's a tad to long really in shoes, I'm to used to floating my foot of the peg changing gear tho.

@Darty will be finally lever that fits my big foots lol . Found a nice one on ebay . And then there is the other side. Brake lever anyone have one like apico/rfx etc?

@Darty I haven't worn MX boots while riding the DT yet! How uncomfortable is it changing gear with the longer gear selector? Any pics I'm a size 9 if that helps

Just fitted the same as Darty, looks loads better! Definitely need a matching brake one now though

@Zrako Yeah I was thinking about this.

I believe Apico do some lovely levers for the YZ. They'll be a hell of a lot lighter too!

But will it fit the DT.

I need to borrow my brothers YZ lever to find out.

@Zrako I've got an electric start will be retro fitting a kicker at some point though. I know people fit stock YZ ones

@finnerz89 Im just added the kickstart to the dtx as I love the kickstarts on the bikes but mainly because I had a lot troubles with starter. It decided to break right in the mot centre. And was tired of bumpstarting haha

I’m running an anodised folding pitbike selector it’s a good upgrade from stock with a bigger tip I’ve seen the apico ones give out after a while personally I wouldn’t use one after what I’ve seen of them
