Missing oil pump nipple need help!
-
So I've just gone to connect up my oil tank and the nipple on the pump that sends the oil to the intake rubber is missing and I have no idea what to do?
-
A picture would help us see what you are seeing
-
-
@declan you see the black rubber nipple behind that there's a little oil pipe and it looks like a nipple was in there but has dropped out at some point maybe I'm mistaken but I'm sure there supposed to be one there
-
There is normally 2 one to the inlet and the other you can see in the pic goes to the bottle, looks like you will need a new pump, that or pre mix fuel
-
-
@declan New oil pump then is all I can say. Never seen thst before.
-
-
@Calum do you know what the best pre mix ratio is for the dtr so I can make sure it actually works?
-
Ehm. I see you only missing the pipe going from pump to intake and slacked cable...
-
How odd. Have you been self mixing up until now then?
-
@gareth_iowc no when I got the bike it was set up but only 2mins after I got it the piston went so it's my first dt so I tore it apart and first start was earlier so I'm not familiar with it so now I'm running pre mix as I can't remember how that pipe had fitted on to there
-
@Zrako cable is no longer slack that was an older pic are you saying there's no nipple for the pipe to slide on to
Then? -
The nipple is there its just the pipe has been cut if you look at it just take that bit of pipe off and replace it that 1 goes to the inlet
-
@andrewj1680 The nipple from the Oil Reservoir to the oil pump is missing.
-
What is the inner diameter of the pipe that comes from 2t oil tank -> oil pump?
-
@jgr72 around 5mm I think
-
Okey, and is it the same 5mm from pump tu carb?
-
@jgr72 Nah, the hose from the oil tank to the oil pump is much larger.
-
@jgr72 if I remember I'll look at my other bike it might have the size of pipe printed on it
