@vtrn_raptor so it does start without choke? I can't make sense of what you said mate.
If it starts from cold without choke then it's 100% too rich
-
I forgot to put the , lol and it starts with choke on but I have to take It off to keep it running
-
@vtrn_raptor he means will it start cold without choke but don't worry about that
-
@vtrn_raptor Yeah that's normal mate.
It needs choke to start. That's normal. My DT NEVER started without choke.
Once it's warm you can take the choke off that's normal.
It must be something to do with the stock carb, as I haven't had this issue with my VHSA.
But yes, it will need choke to start. Then once its warm it'll go to die, you then take the choke off.
What's the problem.
-
I mean it goes to die before it's warm to keep it going I have to keep the throttle on but anyway just took for a little test ride without the snorkel and was a massive improvement but powervalve still won't kick it it goes to then starts to bog but stays running and it's actually rideable
-
@vtrn_raptor take the cover off the side of the filter
-
Yeah I have a Haynes mate I would ride it without the cover on but it's raining loads down here lol
-
@vtrn_raptor haha far enough it would be fine though bit of rain doesn't hurt
-
I'm gunna take the pv cover of and rev it to see if it opens correctly as that could be the issue as was pinned before I got the cdi and put it back on the servo
-
@vtrn_raptor go to page 86 and read
-
Will do mate
-
don't go playing with carb setting yet tho I must stress to you that you should take your time and do every thing methodically or you could end up going in circles with problems you created which is what it sounds like you were doing, to begin with,
this could still be a few things ie needle jets throttle even fuel line so start from the top -
Is it possible that my exhaust is filled with something as reading this page says about Miss firing could be down to exhaust spark plug or air filter
-
Or could this isue be down to stale petrol as it's probably been sat in the bike for 2-4 months
-
@vtrn_raptor stale fuel certainly won't be helping. I suggest you get some fresh in there
