just wondering what people get I don't really know what I get il check next time I top up
-
Usually 20km/l or better, even offroad (deep sand excluded)
-
I used to get about 100 miles to a tank.
-
im getting 97 miles to a tank
-
hmmm how like I haven't monitored mine but I seem to be getting about 50-60 I think maybe it's the pinned power valve I could be mistaken tho
-
I get about 100 miles till reserve
-
The official figures are 60mpg and a 145 mile range, which may include the reserve? But I guess those figures are for owners who ride within the speed limits 24/7. I use to get 100+ per tank, 125 if I wasn't blasting my bike a lot.
-
like I said it might just be me I'm going to clock it
it's at 14546 il top it up tomorrow

@terry-tz So you will lose fuel economy with servo pinned, that's just how two strokes work.
With the servo pinned, fuel is just spat straight into the exhaust port.
The servo alters the exhaust port height, allowing the expansion chamber to force this lost charge back into the combustion chamber. Like in that GIF.
So yes, it will affect fuel economy. Also with servo you can spend more time at the lower RPMs without losing rideability.
-
@calum ye I know just didn't expect that much difference, to be honest, i been working out how many miles I have been doing it's a lot it's totally just me because I'm fueling up allot and holes are being burned in the wallet
-
@terry-tz Yeah but think about it, my bike happily poots along at 4k, so I spend a lot of time there.
The YPVS is allowing the exhaust to force the lost fuel air back into the combustion chamber hence why it's got torques.
If I were to poot along at 8K, you're twice the revs, so near enough twice the fuel.

I think it's me anyway I ride it like I stole it at the moment I'm just getting over the withdrawals of not having a bike for a while under estimating the miles am doing
