Just an update come start of the month she is getting new clutch as that's forever needing slipping, new top end, new brakes and a tail tidy!! Except for top end I'm attempting the rest meself

Loss of powerNo, just trying to explain the problem. It sounded like something was stuck, eg the pv but I thought I would ask here first as being a first time dt owner I can't really tell, and long time dt owners might be able to point out something simple I might have missed. Anyway, turns out it was snapped cable on pv pulley. P's. I don't post Much simply because I dont have the knowledge to help others yet

Loss of powerSo I was out for a ride, pulled away from lights and bike would rev to and past power band, without activating the pv. Its also giving off a strange exhaust note, as if something is blocking it. I assume pv problems but u guys reckon looking elsewhere?

Random flatsSo went on a ride, all good for few minutes and felt a wobble. Pulled into garage, which didnt have air pump so i had to use tyre repair foam. Noticed while i did this that the foam came out of the wheel under the valve, and a few of the spoke nipples. Still cant get it pumped up

What is actually wrong..Its rotating correct way, and does all its sequences smoothly. It almost feels like its squeezing, the throttle response goes dull for those few seconds. Carb wise, been reading up on getting settings right so thats sundays job

What is actually wrong..So, every garage and forum has said different, hopefully you dt guys can help. When i acclerate its fine until powerband, where there is probably a 2 second gap, and then feels like somethings tight, ie doesnt want to move, then pv kicks in Powervalve is lined up, top end is good, it has full big one system, not jetted for it, but iwas told that upjetting would upset the carb and ruin performance. Oh if this helps, when started and on choke it dies, and for first mile or so, and you accelerate it bogs down, like its rnning out of fuel

Rev limiterSo earthed to battery, 2 wires connected with butt connector. Didn't notice any major difference again but to be fair bike needs jetting

Best modification and why?Would love to do it myself but I work 8am - 11pm so lack the time garage only charging 50 quid for all new bits in carb, and to set it up

Rev limiterAs i know nothing of electrics, is a 27 amp wire sufficient... got the 2 wires in a plug connector

Best modification and why?Just going by various sites mine has a bad Carb issue I am not clever enough to fix so garage fixing next month, but it s really boggy, removing snorkel helped a lot

Best modification and why?So far I have only derestricted cdi and removed snorkel, snorkel giving most noticeable difference.

Rev limiterSucceeded today, and not much noticeable difference. Its earthed on top radiator bolt

Rev limiterDoing this tomorrow anyways, but I want to make double sure as every site and Google search says different. So I snip green/black wire on speedo side, and simply earth it, ie with radiator bolt.. thanks for all the help btw

How quick should a dt be?I got a yam dealer close so I will pop in and ask is it a massive differenc for the price?

First dtTo be fair I have learnt loads engine wise since I have had it, hopefully I can make it mint. Is there anything I should look for that would lead up to engine failure?
