    @calum I've seen alot of the builds on here including the 170 builds ect i should have phrased it differently i should have said one of my favourite builds rather than the best like you said before its all preferance I've had a few dts and hope to own a few more but out of them the supermotos are more my thing and i was planning on the jollymoto tail pipe and alot of those mods that you have done before i read the thread hence why its one of my faves 👌

    @stinkwheeler Yeah I know mate, I just like to dish out the credit to others. We all draw inspiration from somewhere, it's nice to be referenced for my hard work. Thanks.

      Hey let us resurrect a dead thread...

      Got the DT out of storage and it runs like turd. Battery is dead.

      alt text

      Bought a lithium battery for it. They are cheap now. £50 and it has 1/4 the weight. It's smaller too. And still packs enough punch to power the starter.

        @Calum COOL welcome to the club, the downside to buying a Lithium battery is you need a specific charger for. Regular ones will not charge it, I bought this one;

                  @Calum COOL pic. They reckon with the Aprila MX 125, if you swap the exhaust for the RS under slung pipe you get an extra 2hp, maybe the DT receives the same benefit???

                    @NINJA I had a handmade underslung pipe from Romeu on my DTR and wow it made a difference once she was jetted correctly!! Couldnt tell you BHP wise but it certainly made a huge difference, absolute flier! And as poster said, sounds THE tits!

                        Wrap around exhausts are a compromise for clearance. This would be no good off road, but designed to be performant.

                        Jetting wise, on my vhsa, it's a tad lean. Breaking up in the mid range before it comes on pipe. Compare that to the dep pipe same setup, it was far too rich. So it is definitely utilising the fuel better.

                              @Calum I think that it's basically a universal cap to fit any 50mm diameter reservoir, so it can be used on either the front or rear. 😉

                                    @Calum I thought so, I was just looking it up on ebay;

                                    I spotted this MX on the web with an RS pipe fitted to it and the dude reckons it adds 9Bhp to the 122 lump!!!

                                      A good pipe will make or break a two stroke.

                                      Pipes have such a varied affect.

                                      I won't rule it out, although 9 is extreme!

                                      You can get 9 BHP more, but the Power Curve would be like J (Nothing nothing Nothing ohh power change).

                                      Or get a pipe where it's powerband is more well rounded.

                                      A wrap around exhaust is a huge compromise in performance. It's designed for clearance, not performance in mind. And underslung really releases that last part of the performance, at the expense of clearance.

                                      But it's a stylistic choice that not everyone wants. I like it, it suits me as I dont' do, or plan on doing, offroading.

                                          @Calum That's a Jollymoto pipe, which is very similar to Romeu's own version. It is a very unique look for-sure, the RS pipe tucks under pretty nicely tho, so it's not a total eyesore. This may be a future mod for my MX, along with other planned upgrades. The owner had other mods on it, here's his gibberish;

                                          "my 41 bhp mx 125 its been tuned by 55cctuning.com they have dun all the dyno work all the tuning the beggest power mod was the jollymoto pipe off a rs 125 it gave it 9 bhp just from the pipe it was 26 bhp when i got it.the pipe made it 35 hp then i got 34 carb- racing piston-racing reeds-twinair air fliter-bigger jets that gave it 6 bhp its very fast for a 125 it run 14.flat at york dragway with a 4.9 0/60"

                                          SEDUCED BY THE DARK SIDE!!!
