@Calum yes, they are aluminium, but the front DT wheel wont fit because of the different brake disc. I will probably just ride the both sets of enduro wheels and when they will be all bent I'll buy some new rims. Other than that I want to keep this bike as close to original as I can. Now it has the cylinder sleeve instead of nicasil plating already(which I think is a good choice for this bike) but I dont want to use the heavy steel wheels. I dont even think they would be that much tougher. Almost all of the DT's I saw had a bent on a front rim.
But yeah, I just like to go full throttle on the rubble covered roads sometimesI might be late to the party but am I not right in saying that the WR200 disc bolts on to the DT125 hub and vice Versa?
-
The rear does, the front hub has a unique 3XP part number for the DT200WR and WR200 only
-
@nottsbiker I'm pretty sure a wr400 wheel fits with the right spacers each side. My bike came with a spare set of wheels, the front one was a wr400. I didn't ever fit it but the previous owner said he used it with his off road tyres.
Also I'm pretty sure a TT or TTR model shares the same front disc
-
I read the question as WR200 disc fits DT125R in which case the front wont as the hub is unique. The rear is a direct swap
I have a DT230 Lanza front disc on my DT200WR

Funds sent for coolant tank and front fender

The hub might not matter as long as the bolt pattern and spacing are correct. Iโm sorry to keep kicking this up but I read it on here somewhere and canโt find the old post.

Hey no drama's - every day is a school day so always handy to learn something else if it is the case
I've got 2 rear hubs for my 200WR both with the code 3BN01, however 1 has 2 bearings in it and the other has 3 bearings in it. Whilst I dont know I suspect that one is from a DT125R and the other is a genuine 200WR hub.

11.07.2021 - Classic Enduro Championship.
I could start on a WR as it was made in 1991 based on a production year stamped on rims and fuel tank. But it was the most modern bike there.
I was 2nd in Evo Class and 3rd overall. First guy overall was riding a twinshock '79 RM400. Big respect for him as he was very fast. Second guy was riding on a '90 CR250. I lost to him as my WR bogged and died on the LAST LAP. Had to stop and kick it for 20seconds and that was enough for him to pass me as he was just behind my back for the whole race. Third guy overall was riding a late 80s KX125.
There were 2 runs, every run was 30mins. I won the first one in class, was second on the second run and that means second in class at the end. Did the holeshot on the second run, started second from the line on the first run. It was a lot of fun!! There even was a CR500 starting, but the track was way too tight for that bike.Pics:

@challenger great pictures and an even better result for the 200!

Today I changed the rear tire.
The rims are not good. WR's are known from rotting rims on the inside. I dont really want to change them, as I just keep bending them with my style of riding and the rocks/leftover parts from cut trees I sometimes bump on. Also there is a new small crack on the rear rim.
Of course I cleaned up the aluminium dirt before installing a new tireThis is a mud/loose surface tire. Getting ready for the autumn CC championship next month!
Unfortunately I had some problems today, the spark plug failed and the engine died. Good thing is that I always carry a spare plug with me when I go riding. But I wouldnt want that(engine dieing) again! Will try to sort that out.And of course, the vid:

@challenger Ouch, I'm sure that wheel can be welded up though, unfortunately, cracks just get bigger
-
@challenger honestly you are better off getting a set of decent rims those rims are past it now and clearly aren't the best of rims to begin with rims are pretty in expensive for nice ones
-
Hmu bud Iโve got a rim off a TTR 250 in my garage Iโve been putting off selling. It came of a late model bike so Iโm assuming the rim will be updated design. Uses same hub as our bikes so all youโve got to do is punch the bearings out Chuck some of yours in and be on your way

This year I took part in the Classic Cross-Country race again on my WR200.
It was a lot of fun and a great competition.
I was 2nd in EVO class again, lost to the guy on a '90 CR250, the same one who won last year. He made a comment about the WR lacking in the suspension area which is totally true.
There was a new guy riding a ~`85 RM125. He was quite fast, but not as fast as meAnd for the 6 times I competed on that track on my WR, in different types of races, I have 5 trophies. Thats quite good, although I never won! Always 2nd or 3rd

@Challenger Looks like SO MUCH FUN!
I recently bought a trail bike to hopefully hit some trails with my brother again!

This summer I took my WR to 3 different MX tracks. It was a great week with guys, we planned it before, and every day meant different track.
Of course WR200 is not made for motocross. Front forks are the biggest drawback. They were often bottoming out, still seemed too soft, even tho I have stiffer YZ springs installed. Rear was ok.
I had to dismout the side stand, as it was flapping so much, that it worn the mount on the frame. I also installed MX style fender, without any taillight.
I did not have much experience on MX tracks, but started learning quickly. I liked the 1st and 3rd track, the one from 2nd day didnt suit my skills nor the bike, and I dont have any pics of my own from that one. I plan on going to 2 more tracks this year and make a video at the end called WR200 on MX tracks.
So far, here are some pics:

@Challenger Looks like stupidly good fun!

Today we had a great fun in the gravel pit with guys. WR brings attention as it is an uncommon bike, phrases like 'doesnt die on the climbs' or 'sounds nice, wish I had that sound in my 250cc KTM' are common
Unfortunately, I got back home with a flat tire, for the first time in my ownership of this bike. Some nail got into the tub and it lost all the pressure.
And a great vid of a guy on '91 XT600 who slighly over-estimated the bike's ability for jump qualities

Bike looks โwell plantedโ or that is a serious flat rear!
I always keep a little 300ml can of Holts tyre weld in my tool bag now. After I managed to limp 30 miles home with a nail & a thorn Iโm my back tyre! Rim locks might not help but give me a warm & fuzzy safe feeling as well. Just in case I do have to limp a few miles with a flat ๐ฅด
