Hi guys, just bought a Dt125 2005 model. The power valve is not working, doesn't do the cleaning itself on startup either. The servos is good, I've hooked up 12v to it and it spins fine. it is getting power to the cdi through two separate wires (a blue one on one plug and a brown one on another plug) and the servo does a tiny twitch when you turn on the ignition. i have all the wiring out to try and troubleshoot but i fear its the cdi from reading a previous thread. there is only one cdi suitable for my bike on ebay and its used and £70! will get it if i have to but I'm not sure if it is the cdi. are there any checks i can do? I have a voltage meter and have gone up and down the bike for the last 24 hours trying to see if something obvious isnt connected . many thanks in advance for your help.

This is exactly what mine did and it turned out to be the CDI but on the wires that recieved voltage it was a really low amount for less than a second to make it twitch, I was lucky and found one for £25 on ebay, you can also try searching for CDI from the Derbi GPR125 2T as im pretty sure its the same.

There's one in France for slightly cheaper than you have found.

@LJK_hunter thanks very much for your reply. That's exactly what mine does. I will get a new CDi and take a risk on the derbi one. Cheers again for your help

What is it, Gilera SC125 runs a DTRE engine as well. Although a quick look shows they're quite expensive lol

@LJK_hunter thanks again for your advice and the eBay link. Ordered the cdi - it arrived a few days later from France and problem completely fixed. First time the powervlave has worked since owning the bike and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! so much nicer to ride.

So, I seem to have a similar problem. The servo worked about a month ago(just tested it) but now once I wanted to hook up the pv and try it, the servo is bearly moving.. it can do one turn but wont "return". Ideas?

A freaking cog inside the servo had broken at one spot! Really Dt? Really?

@irongamer727 most likely will be an entire servo

@irongamer727 Buy another servo unit. Plenty around on the net. Sure I saw that they were being produced in Germany new for around £60.

Or just pin the valve open.
