But tbh, as long as your clutch isn't slipping and your gear changes are Smooth enough, your alright!@Mightyman yeah . Im used before some 10w40 castrol I had spare in garage but friends told me thats not good use car engine oil in 2 stroke gearboxes as they work different with clutch so thats why Im got this one on the new clutch .got it yeasterday so will put it in as soon as I get my engine back together

Im used before some 10w40 castrol I had spare in garage but friends told me thats not good use car engine oil in 2 stroke gearboxes as they work different with clutch so thats why Im got this one on the new clutch .got it yeasterday so will put it in as soon as I get my engine back together

@Calum I'm pretty sure the Yamaha WR 125 shares gearbox and engine oil, makes a lot of sense IMO.
@Mightyman My point exactly. I use engine oil and never had a problem.
Obviously as you put more power through the transmission then it's best to have something designed for the application. But 125's ought to be fine.

its because car oil engine make clutch slip, motorcycle/ATV etc.. engine oil is fine.

I'd always check the powervalve is working correctly, the condition of the reeds, clean air filter, clean plug, fueling is correct, to start with. Big gains from doing this this if they aren't right.
