I be fitted a Dt motor in a chopper that should have a v twin four stroke
Fitting the engine required making new mounts etc but that's the easy part getting the exhaust an loom to fit was a nightmare

What are you planning to do if you are swapping one 2 stroke for another it should be a case of chopping an moving the mounts but it's not always that simple if the engine has to mount through swing arm

I've had problems with the swingarm pivot bolts that were not properly greased when installed completely seizing. I tried Pentrating oil, heat and the air hammer. None worked so i just used an angle grinder to cut the bolt.

I've never had issues with the swingarm bolt. having owned the bike since 5k miles, it's never cause me any grief. Once it was removed it was regreased and that's that.

I grease it everytime I remove it, but I won't remove it to regrease it.

Same goes with the shock linkages. Many have trouble with those.

@calum shock linkages are ok on mine as they're fitted with grease nipples.

Just pulled out all the bushes etc out of the TDR linkage and have made a start on the swingarm but ran out of time over the weekend. Grease nipples are good when they work, but nothing can replace taking something apart, cleaning it fully and putting back together again - why not make it a winter task, or do it when off work sometime.

Get some heat and penetrating fluid in there (diesel works too) and alternate trying to turn it both ways with hitting it. Be careful if you try and hit the threaded end as you will need to keep the nut on in case you peen it over or miss and damage the threads.

@perithtv I've been there too few months ago. Soaking , heating etc etc nothing
Take off everything possible what can restrict you in the back and chop the bolt on as much places as angle grinder let you. I had 4 cuts and lifted the pieces off. Bought brand new guts for it and there is more grease then metal on it 😂 damaged my axe on it too 😁
