        Search ebay for a rebuild kit, as I recall its the same as a front caliper for a xt600 from 1990 and up.

          @jens-eskildsen found this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-DT-125-R-88-03-rear-caliper-slide-rod-pin-shaft-dust-boot-gaitors-DTR/182131027848?hash=item2a67daef88:g:9RIAAOSwAKxWYbxQ&vxp=mtr

          i think it's a little bit expensive for some rubber parts tho, what do you think?

            Agreed, but it seems like thats your best option currently...

              @jens-eskildsen well, they're just cracked and stuff so i'd just want some new ones, i've talked to my local Yamaha dealer, and they can get their hands on them. I'll just wait and see how much that would cost. If they're not any cheaper I'll just buy the ones from ebay 😄

                  Brakes are the most important parts on your bike and the difference between life and death - is £9.50 worth more than risking your life???

                    @ninja That said, the brakes on the DTR were shit anyway.

                    Best modification I did to my DT was putting those four pots on.

                    Seriously, as stupid as it sounds, you're way faster with decent brakes. Can brake later into corners and come out without a sweat.

                    My rear brake is better than both the brakes on my stock DTRE lol.

                      @calum True but even shit brakes are better than no brakes. My point is for the sake of £9.50 is it worth the risk of a seized caliper piston causing the brake to fail and perhaps having an accident???

                          Rode my red dt last evening and the comparison with the white bike with Galfer front disc was surprising. In every other respect the brake systems are exactly the same with identical pads, but the white bike had far more bite on the front. Not everyone wants to spend the money on a Galfer disc though, the standard set up is best described as adequate and no more even with quality pads. The Galfer disc improves things no doubt but don't expect superbike levels of braking, just much improved imho.

                            I can do a small stoppie and easely lock the rear = good enough for me and my type of riding...

                                @bananper I had Kyoto wavey dics and EBC red stuff pads on my bike, they defo added a lot more bite and reduced stopping distances for-sure;

                                Braided brake lines also improve the stock brake set up a lot too. 😉

                                    @ninja don’t mean to be mean but those discs really don’t do it for me they’re not wavey enough but that’s just me
