Just wondering what's the best powervalve setting for high revs? Where should the little holes in the plastic thing line up?
Only thing not stock is my gianelli exhaust

The only way this sentence makes sense is if you have an aftermarket ignition system where you can control the opening and closing of the valve to best suite the bike.

Otherwise, it's just making sure that when the valve is fully open, that it is flush with the exhaust port, I find taking the exhaust off is the best way to do that.

What setup do you have now? Is the power valve connected/active? Or are you positioning power valve in fixed position.

@calum so i should just mess around with the wires until it is lined up? Will that give the best performance?

@bananper yes. Line up the slot with the hole in the casing and leave it be ๐Ÿ˜‰

Or if you want to do it properly take off the exhaust and make sure it's flush with the exhaust port.

@bananper donโ€™t bother doing it unless you do it through the exhaust port

@declan Lol why would you take the exhaust off ? Just use the factory alignment mark on the pully wheel and adjust it to the stamped mark thats what they are for.

@scrimsmustang actually the dot in the cover is often way off. Exhaust should come off to make sure the pv is "flush with the exhaust port".

@declan yes itโ€™s pretty inaccurate. Perhaps on purpose as a power restriction
I remembered how it was when I was setting up my zeeltronic

I've never had any issues with the valve timing.

Maybe it has something to do with different years of PV having different drive shaft shapes (where plastic pulley slides on. Some are diamond and others are rectangular. 100% certain on my 2003 125 cylinder and my wr200 cylinder that the powervalve alignment marks do NOT align powervalve flush with exhaust port approx 8deg out from memory, best way to check is exhaust and head off with piston at bdc
