Best chains / sprokets for dtx

420 pitch .... 520 pitch ... o ring ... x ring .... there areso many choices but what differance will pitch make also i understand o ring chains are better as they keep the oil in but is an x ring a gimmic .. any input or opinions would be appreciated

Jt sprockets from an old YZ125, and a quality 520 chain of your choice will last about forever on this bike. I used a Did vx2 chain for all my bikes.

Thanks for your help guys i decided to go with the 420 in the end just on the price factor as i got it for 40 with o ring and sprockets

Yes a 428 is lighter per link, but you also need more liks than a 520 because a 428 is smaller.
We've talked about the supersmall weight difference in another thread, so please, lets not go there again
