    420 pitch .... 520 pitch ... o ring ... x ring .... there areso many choices but what differance will pitch make also i understand o ring chains are better as they keep the oil in but is an x ring a gimmic .. any input or opinions would be appreciated 🙂

      I ran a Renthal X ring 520 and was very pleased with it. But have since reverted back to a O ring tsukaba 428 pitch to save weight. I am now running Regina 415 on my RS.

        JT sprockets do the job, and I'm very pleased with my Renthal R1 428 chain, about £30 and not O ring, just keep it cleaned and lubed every couple long rides and it'll do you well.

          Jt sprockets from an old YZ125, and a quality 520 chain of your choice will last about forever on this bike. I used a Did vx2 chain for all my bikes.

                Thanks for your help guys i decided to go with the 420 in the end just on the price factor as i got it for 40 with o ring and sprockets

                      Yes a 428 is lighter per link, but you also need more liks than a 520 because a 428 is smaller.
                      We've talked about the supersmall weight difference in another thread, so please, lets not go there again 😃
