While my mates bike was here he asked if I could alter exhaust outlet as covering back of bike in 2 stroke deposits, made a spout out of 25mm stainless and just have to send for welding, hopefully this week if I am lucky. Everything else done, oil pump seal replaced and ready for action!0_1541281430838_20181103_213747-1024x576.jpg 0_1541281465220_20181103_213732-1024x576.jpg

Had the same problem with my RE, found a spacer about 1-2inch long behind the silencer bracket brought it out enough not to melt number plate and gave the bike a better look filling out the fairing

Had a ride around on it yesterday to check oil seal, back end plastered with oil spots as standard, needs deflecting to prevent fouling, oil on end drips on to brake caliper as well, they have only been running in so no high revs

@oldman Oh yeah that's bad. Definitely running that oil too rich. Definitely not gearbox oil right?

Gearbox oil fine, had faulty pump seal allowing 2stroke oil to fill gear oil, that's fine now and had all new crank seals. Exhaust off for welding now but will check pump stroke when it's back. Has been running below 6k for over 400 miles (until I took it out) so expected a little excess lubrication. Oil pump was rebuilt to original spec by third party so should be set to spec, but check of stroke will know for sure. Would have gone further on ride but an incident on the pw50 bruised my coxic bone, went up a bump and didn't allow for fact suspension fully compressed at time of impact. I guess Pw's aren't set up for 14 stone seniors that should know better😁
