    @mhbikesnbits that black engine looks really good in there, reminds me of the earlier LC models.

    The polish tree’s look good too can’t imagine how long that took

        Suspension knuckle recap

        Finished the silver paint

        Hopefully it will hold up well , one of the most abused parts from road grime on the bike

          @mhbikesnbits looking good. That's a good point too, it sure does take a battering that part. And I think Yamaha done away with the grease nipple on later models for some reason.

            @markus-w

            That reminds me! I meant to drill and tap holes in either side of the swing arm to fit grease nipples over the spot where the bearings and bushes join. I think some of the earlier ones had a grease nipple but only on one side...

                  I know a lot of people in dt125 scene like the renthal bars but I like the protaper i think their sleek.

                  Think they look nice on the build and a added bonus they have updated the design alot since I last owned a pair

                      !kick starter (nearly finished)

                      The C Clip sprung off and think I may have lost a ball bearing inside the starter where it turns I got one but I’m guessing you need 2 😩

                      Decided I want to keep the silver pipe housing as I think the 3 look good together (the hangers kick, star and housin)

                            @mhbikesnbits

                            You are on about the kick start, where it swivels?
                            I can’t remember if the spring sits into the kickstart ‘arm’ or through the middle of the ‘knuckle’ bit that bolts to the shaft on the engine. If it’s the knuckle then it will be two bearings and a spring in the middle...

                            I think the spring is recessed into the ‘fat part’ of the kickstart arm, with a bearing facing the swivel part of the ‘knuckle ‘...
                            You’re gonna have to excuse me! My memory is like my virginity: I used to have one but lost it a long time ago 👻

                              @SpookDog that’s the bit I’m on about I didn’t notice a spring when I took it apart, but by sounds of it the it’s sits in the knuckle that’s bolts to the engine as the hole is quite deep on that end and the arm has a groove for the ball bearing

                                Getting use to this forum again it’s becoming like a daily blog to me 😅

                                I’ve got some of this really nice braided mesh loom stuff I decided to do away with the plastic rubbish on the switch gear and replace with this I think it’s a much improvement

                                What do you guys think ?

                                Will be doing most of the wiring with this when I get round to it

                                Also has anyone done much to to make the switch gear plastics look better only thing I can think of really is just plastic polish

                                (Obviously photos don’t show it as well)

                                        @mhbikesnbits Looks smart, is it designed for motorbike looms? Does it wick away water from the loom? I'd be worried if it saturates water and retains it.

                                        Looks smart though.

                                          @mhbikesnbits Looks smart, is it designed for motorbike looms? Does it wick away water from the loom? I'd be worried if it saturates water and retains it.

                                          Looks smart though.
