      What brake disks fit the original dtr front wheel hub? Is there any 320mm disks available?
      Does front brake rotors from any other bikes and models fit? Ive seen some versions of the cr125 rotor and it looks fairly similar, but I'm not sure, so If anyone has any knowledge of this its greatly appreciated!

        @arild the dtx has a bigger front rotor doesn't it? That would bolt on with an adapter plate for your front caliper

          Yeah im pretty sure that front rotor is a 320mm one, but would it work well to make an adapter plate for the brake disk itself?

              @declan DTX has a different hub. Truthfully I don’t think there’s any quick or easy way of finding out what other discs would go onto your hub as it’s not so much the disc that matters bolt the bolt pattern and spacing to make the disc mount to the hub

                Im talking about the brake rotor itself not the caliper. Im looking for a bigger brake disk that fits on the standard DTR front hub

                    No, the dtx has the same hub as the wrx, very different looking compared to the Dtr hub

                      Dtx has a bigger disc, different mount pattern/size and a different twin pot calliper I think. I looked into getting a dtx calliper IIRC but they are rare as fuck...
                      Might as well get. (Impossible to find) Dtx front end...

                      If you want more stopping power concentrate on the calliper not the disc size. As well as modern pad material. There’s some good space age sintered shtuff out there. Someone more up on it can tell you what exactly...

                          Im already looking at other brake calipers, found some 4 pot one that look rather okay, they're from aliexpress however, I know that might just be the stupidest place ever to buy anything brake related, however, I have seen some reviews about them and they seem fine. The main thing of me wanting a bigger disk is one ofcourse I want more stopping power, but also I relacing my dtr hubs to some 17" Sm wheels and the stock brake disk might look rather weird paired up with sm wheels, maybe not I'm not sure yet.

                          @declan
                          Ive not seen these wavy disks ur talking about, do you have a link?

                                  Try this place;

                                  http://thediscdoctor.co.uk/

                                  If you need a bigger disc on a DTR hub then you have to get one made for you. This is what I'll probably do with my 200WR front wheel when I can afford to go SM

                                          @arild The DTR uses an old hub from the YZ, which has an old school MX bolt pattern, used back in the 1980's. In short there are no other discs to run on the DTR, other than the stock size and bolt pattern. I searched for many hours trying to find discs which would fit and never found anything other than the stock size/bolt pattern. The discs listed above and better pads will improve braking power and reduce stopping distances, but you will always be limited by disc size and that crappy single pot caliper. You have to remember that the DTR was essentially a road version of the 1980's YZ. Motocross bikes are all about low end torque and fast acceleration out of the corners etc. Whereas road bikes are mostly all about faster cruising speeds and top end power. The DTR brakes were never ever up to the task of a road bike and this was the one thing which Yamaha never resolved, until they introduced the DTX.

                                          Your best option for more flexibility and availability of parts is to replace the entire front end. As that way you will have more options to choose from and a bigger pool of spare parts to work with. The TDR forks are a straight swap and you get a 300mm disc, but you will need the entire front end if you can find a set. Or a full DTX front end will fit with some minor mods, but all other forks will require a bespoke cup made for them to fit. Upgrading to USD's would be your best option, with donor parts from a newer bike, ergo forks, wheel, brake set-up. That route would transform the entire handling and ride of the bike 10 fold for-sure.See these thread's for more details and ideas;

                                            Thanks for a long and well written answer! Thanks for clearing everything up, however have u looked at the old cr125 brake disc for the front? It looks very similiar to the dtr, however im not even sure if bolts etc would line up as ive not been able to measure anything yet.
                                            I guess ill just have to try and upgrade everything else and leave the disc stock if i cant find anything that will work.
                                            Im hopefully going over to 426f usd forks soon but im however sticking to the stock dtr wheel sadly
