Front end vibes, it's looking a bit 'function over form' could do with being alot lower down

Stevie’s French '98, Mid-90's WR/YZ/DT (An idiotproof guide to building your own DTR)I made my own brackets out of old Aluminium cuts, with a Bandsaw and some hand files.
I even eventually spray painted them Halfords Special Black (Show Bike m8)
Didn't even use any maths, just cardboard templates and some callipers.
Even the YZ Yoke for 1997-2002 has threads you could use.

Can you provide images to explain?

Exhaust blowby, engine wall damageQuick note, check the oil level for the transmission, it sounds like a failed crank-seal with all that oil.
-
Airbox with bigger carb@Peluri I wouldn’t describe having a pod filter as a problem, Jetting is more sensitive but they work just fine.
Trouble is, I’ve designed something that fits my bike, which uses a WR200 Inlet manifold (which is lower, at a different angle and longer than the DTR version) and the TM ss which has an angled Venturi and is much shorter. Plus it’s designed to fit around a YZ490 shock which is much wider than standard. So the design is very specific and compromised to fit my exact needs.
So it wouldn't fit your setup at all.
It would be best to design an Inlet boot from scratch to fit your bike, and the DT in general.

Yamaha DT125R '01 - Running ProjectExhaust Porn
This was the last one ever left, I finally bit the bullet and purchased a Stainless exhaust for the DT.
This came all the way from bloody Portugal like this
Great job lads.
Ballin' - This is the 'YAMAHA DT125 Special Exhaust' in STAINLESS DTX DTR-E with end can from Romeu125 an eBay seller.
Custom design by the gang over there and beautifully hand made.Really quite impressed, only ever 4 sold on eBay.
Looks great, low slung - Interesting design. I've got to say, did not fit that well with the tail pipe supplied. It was so awkward in fact I decided to fit my WR200 FMF tail pipe DIY instead.
Looks cool, but too raspy for my taste.
Picked up maybe the last NOS WR200 Mikuni Idle screw ever? This stuff is all getting expensive and stupidly hard to come by these days...Airbox
Next up, finishing up the Airbox. Drilled and bolted up with M5 bolts and importantly using Nylocs. Can't have the ingestion of M5 bolts into the crankcase.
Got it bang on with a perfect seal, sadly it's no going back with the install but that's the best that can be achieved SLA 3D printing.
WR200 SideStand - 1991-1993
The early versions of the WR200 came with a long enduro style kickstand. Almost impossible to find nowadays and I'm kicking myself for not getting one NOS from Fowlers back in the day, but I was a student at the time.
Due to the design you need to notch the DTR frame, so 'sayonara' fresh powdercoat here and sent it with the Grinder. It looks like I've cut to far there, but it's just swarf.
Again, NO GOING BACK.
The WR200 sidestand looks mint, tucks up nicely and props the bike up much further if you run an increased ride height over standard on the DTR.
(New longer spring needed)
FINAL FORM
I'm running DT230 Lanza Frame Guards, Left handside here is a ZETA part. Otherside is an OEM Lanza Part which only fits right handside for the DTR and require spacers and machining to fit the DTR. But worth it.
HOT BOI
Such an odd Croissant that pipe....,
I think that's it for the DTR, It's a beast, sounds great and is still alot of fun 7 years on. But it's had it’s day.
Is it better? All I'm certain is that it's mine.

YAMAHA DT 125 E SWISSReed switch?
-
Airbox with bigger carb@Peluri What have you done to your DTR?
-
Airbox with bigger carb34mm Carburettor on a standard engine really makes sense when you can adjust the timing,
Above 6k it feels like a different engine, pretty aggressive with a nice bump in torque and power up to 11k,
3rd to 4th sits in the power band (with a race pipe) pretty Godly compared to a stock DTR.
The rest of the time it's bit of a non event, quicker flat out, but have yet to test it out fully.
@Peluri What Mikuni Carb you using?
-
YAMAHA DT 125 E SWISS@DylanDT219 You need to check the crankcase serial number, which for a 91, will most likely be a 4BL - 000

Dep@jonne123 So what’s your predicament here? Is a DEP system not sold in Finland, or are they difficult to import?
Can you buy some thing from Germany?
There are no good cheap exhausts, the cheap ones like Big One, Gianelli, Arrow, Athena are Designed for Mid-range torque and don’t offer the over-rev advantage the DEP is geared towards.
I’ve heard good things about the Athena exhaust, might be one to try.
There’s also Firebox and Spes pipes, which I believe you can still find also.
-
DepNah, it’s an Athena Exhaust
