Hi! What’s the best way of removing the twin short bronze bushes from the rear suspension linkage, also the ones on the swingarm? One gets in the way of the other so I can’t press them out. I’ve tried heat and ‘hammer & screwdriver’ approach, so as to get to the other, but to no joy… Cheers for any help, advice. I couldn’t find sh!t on the search engine…

Thanks mate, will defo look into the impact wrench. I was just hoping it was going to be a quick easy fix with the bits i already had purchased and was shocked to see it was completely different to what i was expecting. My bike is off road due to an accident and im moving house in the next week so the pressure is on as i have no transport for it. All the best

@CalDT125 The dust seals supposed to be under the curclip isn’t it? Mines quite loose compared to the oil seal and would pop out if it wasn’t under the seal…

@HOTSHOT-III Yeah replaced that mate. Only thing I didn’t replace is the bolt going through there, number 17 on diagram, the two dog bone bolts and shock bushes as bought second hand shock as couldn’t get parts and they seemed all good. Will check it over again and update on here. Someone else on fb said they had similar problem

@SpookDog said in Progressive fork springs?: @MadGyver Did you just delete the spacers completely? Any noticeable improvement? Also are the springs linear or progressive?... Cheers bud!... Didn't remove anything as memory serves.I had 2 forks, one DT125 and later one DT200,I had purchased every part to rebuild the 125 before having the 200.Compared everything and found to be the same except the springs. So I used the springs and the air adjust caps from the 200 forks. They don't bottom easy as far I tested them and seem better for the SM style than the 125 springs, but soft to go trail ride.

@markus-w Cheers bud! I got them all ordered now (top & bottom bushes from Brooke’s, oil & dust seals original parts) Only thing I couldn’t find was the curclips for the fork leg tops. I just need to measure one when I remove it and order them by size, I guess... I would really like to get hold of some late model forks with low mileage to rebuild, if possible... Since I rebuilt the top end I’ve had tank leaks, rear punctures and now the right hand fork seal has failed! The joys of a 34 year old, basket case 2 stroke never end! I’ve had to put the HR exhaust on hold for the last couple weeks...
