DTDR Build

@declan no mate the spacer was custom made on a lathe.
if you run a kickstart only DT I believe you can then do away with the battery box and run a capacitor. I also think to my knowledge the shock will go on but the top mounts will need changing and you would have to use the wr linkage, bearing in mind this will Jack up the arse end extremely leaving you to lower it.

hello yam all the way lol
son has a yamaha dt 125x 2007
standard why change swing arm and front shocks
how much do they change things for riding and handling -
@notgotaclue It's going to depend on how hard you ride the bike.
For normal riding, it makes a noticeable difference, the biggest difference is just braking.
I found for every day use, my stock DTRE was fine.
Since You said he already has a supermoto, it probably won't make too much difference under normal riding.
-
@notgotaclue to be honest mate I wanted to reduce the bikes weight (and the wr200 swinger just looks mean lol!!
I also found the DTR forks to be like Pogo sticks under the force of sharp breaking. -
You'd need aprilia rx 125 forks for a nobly set up as the brake is positioned higher for the bigger disk on the sm wheel
-
@vtrn_raptor sorry, why would a tyre make any difference to the braking system? I don't have much understanding of bikes lol
-
Basically the supermoto wheels have bigger disks so need the brake position in a Different place to the off-road wheels
-
I stand corrected theirs a bracket on the mx calliper so with the rx bracket would fit fine
-
@vtrn_raptor oh I get you now, thanks man
