As long as you dont have bubbles from oil tank to the pump it will be fine

Lending the thread a bit. As I have switched to clear oil lines, I am going to bleed the little sucker. My idea is, to speed things up, to disconnect the throttle cable running to the pump and manually open it fully. Thereby not having to wait forever and ever before the air is gone. Thoughts? Mind I have a brand new cylinder. (Of course running premix until bled)

@declan it's quite an easy undertake though. Should work.

You can open the pump without disconnecting the cable. Just push the pump open with a finger. All you need to do is remove the cover to the pump.

@irongamer727 yes using your finger will work but sometime it causes the Rev cable junction to screw up so you have to take your tank off and sort the cables out it happen everytime I do it it even sometimes throws the Rev cable out the carb

@declan not an issue as the bike is already teared down after top end swap.

@declan literally took 1 minute to "bleed". Didn't even bother to use the bleed screw. All good now👍 u also running clear hoses?

@irongamer727 from pump to manifold yeah when I have time I hope to change tank to pump as the hose is old and it’s pretty much plastic it’s that old it will crack if your not careful

@declan allright, but why? As you already have a clear oil pipe from the pump, I don't see the benefits of having the entire feeder hose transparent?

@irongamer727 like I said it’s old and brittle if it snags a branch and I don’t realise it will just crack it’s pretty much a ticking time bomb

Today I was out riding the bike kept cutting out (While at Idle), I realized that the revs were down at idle so i adjusted it; seems to be idling fine now but what was the cause? I did adjust the oil pump after changing the tubes as it was off. Do you guys think that the cause of the lower idle was because of the oil pump adjustment?

@sgt-robuck-5 it’s possible yes if you turn the pump by hand too much it will cut the bike out so you probably had a low idle to start off with can you help me out with something? Look on your carb on the right side of it the exhaust side just to the right or the airbox boot there should be a small nipple slightly pointing upwards does it have a pipe on it and if so where does the pipe go thNks.
