          @SpookDog As far as I know the DTRe internals are the same as the DTR.

          I got some XT600 3AJ springs off eBay for mine which solved the bottoming out nicely along with 500ml of 15W oil per leg. But be warned I had to increase the preload on my YSS shock by about 16mm over the stock setting and run the rebound damping on position 29 out of 30 to match the forks so not sure what effect these springs/oil would have in combination with a stock rear shock.

          I weigh 150lbs and after this mod the bike jumped better than the stock 2020 KTM 250EXC TPI I had at the same time but TBH the front was maybe a little too stiff; to get it just right I'd like to try cutting 10mm at a time off the spring spacers (if I can get hold of a spare set).

                Well they are 505mm x 34mm but I can’t find anything matching online. I can’t find any kind of Nm rating either. I really need some help with this...

                      @SpookDog But springs compress...

                      Can you not just email then and ask?

                      I remember the DTR springs are woeful, so this would most likely be an upgrade.

                          @SpookDog According to Haynes:

                          3DB1 ('88 round slide carb model) spring free length 478mm, service limit 473mm

                          3RN1 ('89 onward) spring free length 503mm, service limit 468mm

                          No mention of forks in the separate chapter for the '97 onwards DTR and DTX so I can only assume the springs are identical to 3RN1 (although I'd be interested if this is the case particularly regarding the DTX)

                            @SpookDog And according to fowlers the springs between the two models are the same.

                                @Calum yes they are identical. Just the 1988 early model are different as are the DTX. R and RE are the same.

                                  That’s a typo for the 503mm spring wear limit, it’s supposed to be 499mm. Hell of a wear limit otherwise!.
                                  I read somewhere that dtx springs are 515mm and progressive as standard. Probably the same as TZR springs if the info was right...

                                  Got a reply from fleabay: not in UK stock, 40-45 day order wait. Springs are 515mm x 3.9mm and are rated for 65-110kg weight riders...

                                  Sounds perfect, just have to trim the spring spacers by 12mm. Shame about the wait!...

                                      Cheers for the info guys, it all helps!...

                                      Ordered some springs, just in it for the long wait now 🙄

                                      If anyone has any fork bottoms, or whole forks, please let me know. I don’t have time to powder coat mine when I rebuild them...
