pinning power valve parts needed

Like callum says, use a servo. When one PV cable snapped, I pinned mine open until the new cable came. Makes it really loud and no bottom end power

Post a pic of side of your barrel where the valve is . Dont you have pulley housing at all?
You can add it directly here by clicking on the small cloud with arrow inside it . Much easier. I sold my 89 barrel that had the caps on it
An I also sold the 05 barrel that had the housing on
I sold them to buy the tdr r P stamped barrel an head off scrim
Now the only caps I have are the ones in the photo -

@dan28 I have the early version the same as you if you pull the power valve cover off the left side of the cylinder there is a sleeve that slots over the top of the powervalve itself when you pull the sleave out there is a pin in it basically turn the valve 180 and put the sleeve back but insure you turn the sleeve the pin will need to locate in the top now rather than the bottom as long as you still have the pin in the collar you can't get it wrong however I have seen this pin removed where people without the know how have tried to open the power Valve and snapped it off
Any chance you can post of photo of your cap
-
@dan28 the cap is included in the pics I've posted mate the cap has the pin in the base which then locks into the sleeve the sleeve slips over the power valve and mine doesn't spin inside it then the cap locks in place through the 2 holes where it bolts to the cylinder holding everything in place

sorry Andrew I didn't see those photos on my phone
those parts look like mine
I have the cap although the pin is missing
an I have the sleeve
am supposed to remove the bush with the orange rubber so the sleeve can slide on to the pvhere are photos to explain
-
I'm sure that is the wrong power valve mate mine sits inside that sleeve where as looking at yours it won't
-
Looks like you have this 1 -
You should have this 1 -
You could always just stick a big washer behind the bolt that runs through the middle you can lock it off that way which is what I have ended up doing today as since having port work and the power valve modded it kept moving a little over fully open

I ve bought the servo kit I can use the standard parts to pin it now
or if I can get the servo to fit my frame I will use it
(the dt engine is in a different frame ) its gonna be a mission to get the servo to fit I wanted to mount it under the tank but the cables are too short
not sure it will be worth the hassle
