I am lucky in having a man cave to indulge myself, took a lot of years to get it, but still lust after not a double but a triple man cave! Now where's my lottery ticket

@oldman it's a strange concept isn't it you get your dream bike but there's always another always something to aspire to for example my dt is beat up its old and a lot doesent work but believe it or not it's one of my dream bikes I've been dreaming of a "full size bike" for a long time since I've only ever owned pitbikes

Mine had been stood in a garden for 7 years when I noticed it and did a deal, an absolute shed, cannot explain why but will never sell it. Have a real attachment to it for some reason. If I hadn't taken it am sure it would no longer be in existence, maybe that's why

Just don't ask me what I have spent this time around though, will have to be in a very good mood before I add up the receipts, should mean it's still around for a long time yet.

@oldman it's something that you can call your own truly your own when you have rebuilt a bike/ restored one you truly have the right to say that's your bike

Something so satisfying about building your own bike from the ground up.

My Monster cost me £600 from a mate but once built will be a keeper and tick the big bike box nicely.

Currently awaiting the start of some building work at our house which will include the concrete base for my 4x8 garage. Never had a garage since I left home 23yrs ago so cant wait!

On the subject of keepers I still regret selling my DT-WR so next year's bike will be a WR200 methinks...

Thats a sweet bike, I think for anyone to restore a Red one would be difficult to find the plastics. Fowlers would laugh at you If you tried to order them.

Its because the Red is a one year only colour from 1990, you might find the od new piece here and there. It took me 2 years to find a full set in Purple because of the same thing one year only 1991 colour. The Red plastics and tank I have I got from someone on the old forum, save for the tank and headlamp cowl I got from ebay years ago. Best thing to do is google the part numbers. I have brand new sets with decals for 88 in Blue 89 in White 88 and 89 in Black 90 in Red

Thanks, will try that, the red is eye-catching and want to stick with it. Just picked up a nos cowl so that's one off the list
