You can bleed the pump, but if you're running premix as well you'll probably be fine.

I've recently put see through pvc pipes on my autolube pump and the pvc pipe from the pump to the carb seems to have many small bubbles and a few big ones. I've still got premix in the bike as well and haven't been for a decent enough ride yet, is that all it needs?

I wouldn't worry about it. So long as the bubbles move out and don't become bigger or more frequent in nature.

That's one of the perks for running clear tubing, you can see what's going on.

As long as you dont have bubbles from oil tank to the pump it will be fine

Lending the thread a bit. As I have switched to clear oil lines, I am going to bleed the little sucker. My idea is, to speed things up, to disconnect the throttle cable running to the pump and manually open it fully. Thereby not having to wait forever and ever before the air is gone. Thoughts? Mind I have a brand new cylinder. (Of course running premix until bled)

@declan it's quite an easy undertake though. Should work.

You can open the pump without disconnecting the cable. Just push the pump open with a finger. All you need to do is remove the cover to the pump.

@irongamer727 yes using your finger will work but sometime it causes the Rev cable junction to screw up so you have to take your tank off and sort the cables out it happen everytime I do it it even sometimes throws the Rev cable out the carb

@declan not an issue as the bike is already teared down after top end swap.

@declan literally took 1 minute to "bleed". Didn't even bother to use the bleed screw. All good now👍 u also running clear hoses?

@declan allright, but why? As you already have a clear oil pipe from the pump, I don't see the benefits of having the entire feeder hose transparent?
