Hello again! (fused420 on the old forum) I hope this new forum gets as lively as the last, because I'm going to need some help! I have just brought an unfinished DTR YZ hybrid project, it looks bit of a mess at the moment but hopefully it will come out nice once finished. I will get some pics up at some point over the next couple of days..

Sorry for going cold, the next day i had a closer look at the transplant and wasn't happy with the quality of the welding (photos will follow) and kind of lost interest, and just chucked it in the back of my lock up. A few months ago i brought another DT minus an engine that had sat outside for a while (again photos will follow). Then...last Sunday i brought another DT project from the Copdock Motorbike Show, not in a great state but it has an engine at least, and a few other nice parts (yep..photos blah blah). I'm hoping to build at least one decent one out of all of the parts that i have accumulated. I will start a build thread soon..

@Louis-James i have changed my profile pic to my old bike. I will upload some more once i have remembered my log in details for photobucket...lol

Yeah that dosen't look good at all, you may have to strip her right down and start afesh???

Definitely start again, but it's a sick idea and I've seen a DTRE with a YZ125 engine run before. What year engine do you have ? Pre 1996 motors line up quite well.

I'm not sure what i am going to do with this one yet, it came with the rest of the yz minus the frame, so it might find a frame and rebuild the yz. Either that or i'm thinking of using the front end on one of my unadulterated frames as the DT stem has already has already been pressed into the yz yokes, and the ignition has already been welded in place.

Another problem with it is that it sits very high, i'm 5,11 and i have to stand in tiptoes on it. All in all i think this one would involve to much work. I have just sent off for the v5 for the red one in the background, so as long as it comes back with no problems, that'll be my project bike, as it's frame is in the best condition out of the three that i have.

Oh yeah, another problem with this bike is that the rear brake lever mount has been cut off to accommodate the YZ swing arm!
