        Hiya again folks

So i have some good news i have started at a garage as a welder / fabricator repairing rotten sills on vans, cars, buses etc....

My boss is kind enough to let me redo and weld new nuts and other work to all my parts before he sends it all off for powder coating, i have one question regarding the suspention linkage and bushes etc... I dont want to pay £355 for genuine yamah bearings and oil seals etc... so i want to know what size bearings i can get as a replacment instead of the standard roller bearings i wanna use ball bearings instead anyone know what size bearings i will need?

I managed to get branded roller swingarm bearings for about half the price of Yamaha ones, the bearing code will be on the side of the old bearings if you still have them.

@Walney-Reptiles Not without changing the the yokes/bearing cup.

I done it cause I fitted USDs. But otherwise, no. Or I'm sure it could be done, but what would be the point?

@Calum my dt is fitted with tapper bearings top and bottom with out modifications, tapper bearings are able to cope with greater loads so generally last longer.

@DTR-NSR Cool, hit the geezer up! I didn't know it was a thing.

My DT was stolen and ramped. Forks bent, wheels bent, bearings in the head tube was fine. They are robust enough. Obviously Taper has its advantages.
