Hopefully @Calum, still was running alright on my standard radiator for the wr200 motor even though it has 2 as standard.

What do you mean by iron? Who would fit that? Would be heavy as.

@Louis-James Stock brass or steel or whatever the original radiators are made from. I know on cars they tend to be brass.
On the Starlets you can get way with running a radiator half the size if it's an ally one as it dissapates heat so much better.

Also to note, this core may be 10mm shorter but has 11 cooling tubes and not 8. Also 20mm thicker

This has gotta be one of the best DTR's I've seen! Absolutely stunning mate 👌 A load of great work here. Have you had it on a dyno?
I didn't realise until I looked back through the thread that I bought your old tank panels off of eBay last year. Still look good, although the RH one is now Drift Stitched from a bad knock 😂

Ohh my insurance policy came today.
Since I've invested so much time and money into this bike, I bought a spare heart!
Because the cylinder it has now is 22 years old on standard size, as it is nickasil plated.
The new one is also plated and honed.

                              @Louis-James That's actually really cheap.

Yes you are right Louis, however there will always be better engines to transplant should that be the case.

Hell even electric engines are far superior to most petrol motors/.

@Calum almost worth making a whole new engine haha, I like the idea of a yz250 evolution 88 motor, don't fancy chopping the frame though. Maybe I'll get the bike one-day

                                  Got some work done.

Replaced the clutch springs for the uprated wr200 version (15% stiffer than stock WR) they are actually longer, but that's one way to make the sprung force stronger.

Oil and Coolant change, replaced the 2t to manifold hose for another clear one as it has gotten cloudy.

Polished the exhaust and detail cleaned the underside of the engine in every nook and cranny that was left from rain riding haha.

Straightend up the rear silencer as it was aiming to my number plate and getting lots of gank on it.
And resealed the slip on part on the downpipe (I hate slip on!)
Got a new fuel tap to fit when the radiators welded up, I'll do it together.

A few new visual mods I'm toying with are to come (make it more original trail look)

Just made the school boy error of spraying all over the clutch with brake cleaner to get all the old oil out of the transmission but forgetting that there needs to be oil on the clutch plates so they can fully disengage.

Hopefully when I start it up in a weeks time with new fuel and rad the oil will get in the plates and free it all up 🙂

@Mightyman I know haha I just forgot as it's been a while 😂, I didn't replace the plates, I replaced one spring at a time and blasted loads brake cleaner I. Im pretty sure I did this once years ago but it soon sorted. I probably will change the plates in the near future.

rads all welded up ready, need to trim the top bracket for frame clearance. Bolts up nicely, pressure tested.

Also taken off every sticker on the bike that looks tacky and just kept YAMAHA logo ones.

Also test fitted my headlight guard, needs powdercoating white though. Gives it a trail look 🙂
