The wr200 3xp / dt125r 3bn hybrid 200cc engine no.2
-
Hi guys, as most are aware I built one previous on my 2003 dt125r.
I have decided to build another one with spare parts I have. Probably even better build to be honest as all transmission bearings are being replaced.
Cases and covers are going to be hard anodised
As you can see the engine has been sand blasted externally (grey)
More pictures to follow.
The final drive shaft was damaged so found a brand new one on eBay from Greece for £30 instead of £140 from Yamaha.
L/h crank case had minor damage, so I made this plate
Porting has begun, not finished yet, also have to check clearance for the 3xp cylinder legs.

@Calum cheers Calum, hope it works out alright, might take a few months, need to view the cran housing soon.
-
Cylinder fits and ports all math up perfectly now.
Crankshaft housing to be bored out next -
Crankshaft is finally due to arrive tomorrow
After speaking of the anodizers they recommend not anodising on a sandblasted finish.
So I Powder coated instead.

@finnerz89 thanks, I chose at random tbh as the samples are so hard to tell from in my experience but happy with the outcome

@Louis-James They've come up well.
I was always really sceptical about powdercoating the crank cases.

@NINJA the powervalve is a reproduction. I have lots of brand new genuine parts that came from fowlers

What is this? I've not seen it before from memory clips inside the splined washer .
