  • Fuel hose inner diameter?
    tunertomT tunertom

the proper cotton braided fuel purpose hoses last a lifetime

using clear ones for fuel is asking for trouble, they go brittle, crack, split, leak and are toss!

you dont need clear ones, there is 2 filters in the petcock and theres a filter in the carb fuel inlet barb too

correct stuff is 7mm, fits perfectly and still tight without stretching too much.

i use the cotton braided proper fuel hose, its cheap on ebay and wont go brittle

@calum those titanium bolts was NOT cheap!

at around £5 per bolt, i think you can safely assume theyre not all titanium, some of the bolts are even pictured saying ''a2-70'' on them which means a2 stainless steel.

And I answered "I know that", and described in detail that it was only a testfitting.
I got it for free, and now have the wiring sorted for a proper fan, and know what dimension will fit.
    Lets move along, shall we?

wouldnt a tape measure or an engineers rule, to measure the width of the radiator core not been sufficient to see what size of automotive fan you need, be better than bodging computer components onto it?

youve got the fan blowing towards the front of the bike... i didnt say it was in the wrong place i said its massively underpowered for application and its blowing the wrong way, its fighting the direction of the wind!

    as you can see..

@jens-eskildsen sorry to be the one to tell you this, but for one, you have the fan blowing the radiator the wrong way, rendering it useless as soon as you start to move

secondly, pc fans are useless in vehicle application, they offer literally nowhere near the amount of airflow that moving even at 5mph provides. typically a PC is generating 150w of heat or less, thats 0.15kw, whereas a bike such as this is making hundreds of times more heat.

you need an automotive fan to make an ounce of difference

order the proper puller. worth its value 10 times over. saves damaging things trying to get it off.

@CYBER-NINJA alot of that guide is correct, but things like cutting and chopping up the inlet manifold is just bollocks, you loose power doing that, dont take this guide as gospel

roll along at 5mph in first gear, very slow roll, then WHACK throttle open fast, no clutching needed, if youre sitting back itll wheely!

go here... go to the tab that says fitment, it shows the part number and all the same bikes that use the same speedo as the DT.
