Hello @chalcosoma, Apologise I didn't get around to replying last night. You can get away with running some pretty aggressive tyres on the stock rims, my friend once went very savage on his DTR (to the point spokes to breaking left right and center ). Sadly, I am not that clued up on tyres and availability in the States in general, but I certainly would have thought this wouldn't be a hard problem to solve. It would be interesting to hear what other people have run in the past as I know quite a few members had TDRs.

It's probably fine. I'd just do a compression test make sure it's within tolerance and schedule in a top end refresh if you don't know when it was last done. Generally though, the DTR is a pretty strong engine so it's damn reliable.

@SpookDog Standard front is 18 and rear 17 for the TDR. I’ve got a set of DT hubs and will get some rims made up with them but the info I’m after is has anyone done this and what issues did they encounter, around spacers bearings spindle size etc

@Calum Happy Christmas Calum and thanks for keeping this platform going. No update today, haven't done anything bar assemble parts, but hopefully get garage time over Christmas. Let's hope 2021 will be a better year.

I must admit not being a TDR fan but I do have a soft spot for the spoked wheel TDR’s. Stunning bike, I’d love to ride one one day. You can really appreciate how far out the concept was at the time and also how far ahead of its time it was

@rolz82 For the gearbox yeah. Not the actual oil, just to be clear.

Got most of a sectional garage stacked up in my garden and a loft / shed full of Ducati and Yamaha parts which barely leaves any room to move in. I've also have an 8x4m hole dug in my garden for ages filled with hardcore and aggregate waiting for some expensive concrete to be poured on top. Apparently I'll need 5 cubic metres of concrete which equates to over 100 wheelbarrow's worth + my garden is about 60m from the front, up a slope to the 'garage' - this will definitely require favours to be called in!
