Thanks for the welcome gents. Thus is the bike. It is in pretty good shape, just sorting out the inevitable issues with a 17 year old bike.

Yes, a French bike. Tried looking for a decent UK bike but there was nothing to be found. We're giving it a thorough check over then off for MOT and UK registration.

My own bikes look more like this:

I've also got an MTX80R in addition to the Fireblade and NS400.

Just taken it out for a test ride to make sure she is ready for MOT. Wish I was 17 again. Lovely fun bike.

Welcome, I wish my 03 was in that condition when I bought it. Was only 7 years old but looked 20.

I've seen a few DT's round my way and people enjoying being out on them 😄

Welcome! Fantastic looking bike, but I'm not surprised if it is a french import. Both my DTs also came from France, brought them up with me a year ago.

@Alastair hello mate did you bring the dt over from France yourself? How easy was the whole process? I only ask as I have my eyes on another dt but it's in France they seem to be cleaner bikes over there

@andrewj1680 Easiest thing to do. Only annoyance is the long wait for paperwork... No tax to pay as long as its second hand and done X number of miles, can't remember exactly how many... I brought my bikes up myself with a van. Had to drop stuff off in france anyway, so when I came back I stuck two DTs in the back and "voila".

                                  Hi

I bought it from a bloke that brings them in. As long as you have the Nova number, you get insurance on the frame no, get an MOT, fill out form V55/5 and you'll get your registration. Piece of cake.
