      I ve put the dtr engine in a chopper frame the bottom radiator hose is lower than the radiator so I need to find a smaller radiator an mount in higher up. One thought was to use a pair of small twin radiators from a ktm sx 50 not sure if these will be too small

            @dan28 I'm doing a similar build and 50 rads are very small I think 65 rads are more suited

              @declan I don't want to end up using a rad that's too small
              I was thinking 2 small ones will equal the size of one dtr rad
              There was a reason I couldn't use the lazna rad

                          @ninja if you see my welds you would think different, maybe when it's running and riding I'll set something up

                            @declan looks good
                            You have loads of room if mount the radiator in front instead of at the side

                              @dan28 I do without the exhaust it's a right hand radiator frame if I use a standard exhaust I'd have to get a different fuel tank and radiator plus seat set up so I'm going to build a simp me underslung exhaust

                                @declan what about the older exhaust from the lc models that mounts on other side
                                I remember scrim mustang on here saying they can be used on dtr engine that way you can keep the radiator etc
                                By the way can any one measure a lanza radiator for me

                                  They are tiny though.

                                          its alot smaller though an the fan for the gas gas rad is expensive even for a used one
                                          i need to find out the sizes of the ktm sx 50 rads both together they should be equalivent to the dtr rad i think

                                            The manual says that the cooling works by โ€œthermo ~ syphonic action in conjunction with the pumpโ€, but basically when the coolant in the cylinder sleeve is hot enough to actuate the thermostat and open up, the pump will move it. I donโ€™t know any other motor that has the radiator physically above the motor to rely on heat rising through convection ๐Ÿ™„
                                            I guess Iโ€™m saying that Iโ€™d test run it with the rad mounted where you want it and see if it works. As long as the pump moves the coolant I donโ€™t see any problem ๐Ÿ˜
                                            I could be totally wrong though! ๐Ÿ˜œ
