Haha as title says , complete rebuild time is here. Im stripped the bike down so far counting and thinking what where and how much etc. Researching new ideas. So far Im decided to powdercoat frame , get yz usd forks and swingarm , rebore barrel + new piston and con rod , inspect the crash of bottom end(hopely only bearings) , new clutch , new full exhaust, rework the connectors and wire harness...
Will warmly welcome new ideas and comments ,

Swingarm pivot bolt stuckWell , forgot to update it in here , I won the fight with the bolt. Stripped the bike anyway. All the problems because swingarm bearings colapsed . After desperate 6 hr fight , Im took enginr out with swingarm on it and cut the pin with angle grinder. It was pile of rust mixed with wd40 looked like curry. Big advice to you guys , keep an eye on the swingarm pivot bolt and lube it regulary and inspect the swingarm bearings as well you dont want to experience the removal

Dtx Project Codename MoneypitWell , today Im finished my USD forks conversion on my "moneypit DT " . I've been working on it for a few weeks... firstly Im bought Ktm exc 300 forks from 2002 and same seller was selling ktm 450 forks from 2003 too so ended up eith 2 sets Im thought they are exactly same silly. Liked the 450 ones I think they are 48mm so decided to put them on. And will make everything required to direct fit on Dt the other ones 300 for sale. Measured everything 100 times and even after that the machined components wasnt 100% so I had to modify them after typical for me
Here if few pics from my garage , going to test ride and adjust them tomorrow.Brake line and speedo cable is a bit shorter than it should be but its ok adjusted. Now just need upgrade the wrap around handguards and thats it. Sorry for so many pics hopefully you will like it guys because I love it

Dtx Project Codename MoneypitSmall update . Engine rebuilt and frame finally came back from powdercoating. Not sure if I love the change but have to deal with it now

Br9 or br8@Mightyman same here. The number states the temperature "level" of the plug. The colder - higher number. Im heard the colder spark is better ...
-
Fatbar question@tdr125greg the "fat" area 28 mm is in the clamping area and it reduces to the 22 mm on the ends so you need only the conversion-risers for clamping and you can keep all the other stuff for 22mm

Dtx Project Codename MoneypitWell , bike is like 95% finished. Bearings sorted from wemoto , all new shiny stainless fasteners everywhere. Tried to exchange every possible nut bolt and washer. Just waiting for new chain
First start of the bike , changed the engine oil lines for clear ones too and they are awesome and usefull. My pump needs bled and small coolant leak from top of the head. Hopefully only carb warming screw needs the copper washer
If you see anything on the video strange and suspicious please let me know . -
A mates stolen DT125REShare the engine number on facebook and everywhere that it was stolen makes it bit hotter to handle.
-
Exhaust RubbersExhaust wrap and jubelees . Works 100%
-
Tidy tailCheapest option mate . Stainless tin , in case of impact it will just twist
-
Rear Spindle NutI wouldnt tell you mate if Im not 100% sure. There is my order in top pic m18x1.5 and bottom is fitted on bike .

Recommended reeds?@declan yes you need to bleed the autolube mate. When Im rebuilt my engine , I ran on few litres of premix to bleed my pump. There is a rubber blind pipe with small clamp on . Let the bike idling and manually twist the pump pull-wheel with the small pipe off , I have transparent pipes so Im seen when it start coming to the inlet. Might not be best method but worked for me ...

Took head off after breakdownWell , here we go again . 2nd rebuild . Now with new crank bearings and seals , new piston and rings , new - used clutch , removed kickstart and got new used stay for the sprag clutch and installed starter motor, fresh gear oil.
Here is what it sounds like . First start was surprisingly smooth ,was idling bit higher so turned it down and bled autolube . Feel strange as it was maybe too good to be true lol .
Let me know what you think about the sound. Havent jump on it yet btw. -
TDR issue@tdrnoob first thing I did was removed starter motor to see if its really that problem and it was. I had a broked bearing stay. Thats a plate behind a flywheel where starter clutch sits on needle bearing . I am replaced it , cleaned and lubed everything in there and its ok now.
Number 1 was broken .

Wheelie issuesThanks for help guys. Did 4 or 5 wheelies today at first gear. Only a 3 or 4 inches few seconds . Figured out need to rev it up up to the red and it worked . Will need loads of practice on dry road. So excited lol
