@darty not really within my budget.
Getting a non runner as a project could be some fun though. And then run it until it blows

A drift for wheelbearings, I make a homemade press for the linkage bearings with a threaded rod, washers and nuts.

I once removed a bearing using bread aswell (go youtube it) just to try it :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

@irongamer727 The NSR simply is not as high as spec as the Aprilia is, it frails in comparison.

Now a Honda RS 125 I definitely would love to hand. Shame I don't have 10K lying about the place.

They run their powervalve off the gearbox I believe.

Unless the bike has had an insurance claim made on it, it wont be on the insurance catagoration register. It will however be marked as stolen on pnc if its been reported to the police as stolen and you dont tell them you have got it back. If you dont tell them soon as you tax it dvla will tell them as stolen bike has been taxed.

What were you doing buying your own bike back anyway ? You should have went to see it, checked the frame number, walked away and rang the bizzyz and they would have got it back for free and removed the stolen marker from the pnc.

@scrimsmustang The other thing is, there is no guarantee it wouldn't need work. And then there goes your profit margin.

I've yet to see a rotax engine that hasn't suffered damage...

@irongamer727 Personally if it's that bad, then it's likely the rings will be gummed up. In which case I'd rather strip the top end, clean, inspect and renew anything that needs doing. For the sake of a ยฃ10 Athena head gasket.

Muc-off bike cleaners pretty good stuff, I used to use that a lot, but I usually just Hose all the mud off when wet, then wait until dry and go over the whole bike with wd-40 or similar lubricant, in fact foam tyre shine worked nice last time ๐Ÿ˜‚
Best results are usually going over the whole bike with an oily rag honestly, I've never found any product to take off all the mud or residue with just water.
