I managed to get branded roller swingarm bearings for about half the price of Yamaha ones, the bearing code will be on the side of the old bearings if you still have them.

@Calum well i say that what i mean is you can change the top bearing to taper bearings instead of the standard ring bearing

@Walney-Reptiles Not without changing the the yokes/bearing cup.

I done it cause I fitted USDs. But otherwise, no. Or I'm sure it could be done, but what would be the point?

@Calum my dt is fitted with tapper bearings top and bottom with out modifications, tapper bearings are able to cope with greater loads so generally last longer.

@DTR-NSR Cool, hit the geezer up! I didn't know it was a thing.

My DT was stolen and ramped. Forks bent, wheels bent, bearings in the head tube was fine. They are robust enough. Obviously Taper has its advantages.

Oh sweet bud. Sounds very expensive, but if its a job worth doing it's worth doing right.

@Walney-Reptiles well with your setup i would recommend some 28mm - 32mm carb. for example a mikuni tm28 or a keihin pwk 28. im running a keihin pwk 36 on my dt but i have a 170cc kit on it. its still too big for the bike

@Walney-Reptiles well with your setup i would recommend some 28mm - 32mm carb. for example a mikuni tm28 or a keihin pwk 28. im running a keihin pwk 36 on my dt but i have a 170cc kit on it. its still too big for the bike

cheers buddy, il keep this in-mind
