rads all welded up ready, need to trim the top bracket for frame clearance. Bolts up nicely, pressure tested.
Also taken off every sticker on the bike that looks tacky and just kept YAMAHA logo ones.
Also test fitted my headlight guard, needs powdercoating white though. Gives it a trail look

Painted the core for a more stealthy look, also hides all the dust that gets caught in the fins.

@Mightyman it won't effect the cooling, it's so thin. I've had my intercooler powdercoated

It's on, really good fit!
Hoses line up, clearance everywhere is perfect.
Cap is easy to remove. Can't wait to run it.

@Mightyman thanks
just got to take off the fuel tank for a new tap and empty old fuel. At the same time I will bleed the cooling system.
-
@Darty if you buy the core on eBay (£25) and take it to a welder with your old one and the subframe, they could make it easy
-
@Minia cheers mate

@Louis-James What a fantastic looking bike. My uncle had a XT650 from the 80s, was a holiday bike so watching my uncle and cousin trying to kick start it was amusing, they literally would have a run-up and then jump on it. Anyway, looks great! I'll keep an eye on the project!
-
@Darty cheers for that, is there a link for that? Just wondering if there are any real dt ones available still

@Minia thank you, I wish I grew up in the 80s, bike were so much nicer I think and everything was new like powervalves. Also could ride off road without people complaining
