    I manage to get it clean! First I sank it into a diesel for a 24h... did not help much... Then few hours in detergent... Not much help... Then I gave it a ultrasonic bath, the result was better, but there were still some green stuff left... Then I bought some carburetor cleaner and spray that and the green stuff melt away... Last cleaning with brake cleaner... Now the carb is back in one peace... after a week, I we'll see if it works, or is there something else broken...

    @Jens-Eskildsen

    Oh hell yeah now thats a nice looking bike IMO.

    I much prefer it with the off road wheels. I see you have an acerbis tank for it then and you're lucky enough to have the later one (4TP is it?) so you can still get the tank and mounts.

    Thats great to know that theres nothing major to worry about and yeah, I'll be religiously servicing/ greasing those suspension linkage and swing arm bearings! Thanks for the heads up. I think any bike that uses a similar set up should be sold with a grease gun as part of the tool kit!

    Yeah that is the flip side how much is too much coz I will never get it back
    So far I paid £600 for the bike I've done about £1400 getting it to where it is now + I have more to spend I would think by the time I've finished it will stand me in at about £2500 and it will prob be worth about £1600 on a good day , but I didn't do it to make money just to have something different and learn a bit on the way . The yzf750 was prob the best 750 of its time it still rocks by today's standards of 600s it more bike than I can handle

    Yeah mate. Start with what's recommended and work from there.

    Remember fuel quality, air temperature and the quality of the components will play it's own part in jetting. Highly strung two strokes are more effected by these changes than less tuned bikes.
