TDR issue

@calum Hi. Did you change jetting after when you went for premix? If changed then could you remember what sizes for pilot jet and main jet. Thank you
wrote on 11 Sept 2017, 16:55 last edited by@tdrnoob I ran a completely different carburetor, so all my jet sizes would have been changed.
Plus I ran far from standard settings. Jetting must done to suit the machine you are riding, no two machines are the same so jetting is best done to accommodate this.

@tdrnoob I'm not familiar with that carburetor myself, as said, jet accordingly.
If it's detonating, if it's spluttering, then you may need to jet to suit.
But at a guess I wouldn't have thought you'd need to rejet.

You should be able to get any spares you need from Allens Performance who stock parts for all makes of carb

wrote on 12 Sept 2017, 09:54 last edited by@nottsbiker Hi. You wrote earlier to increase the jetting by 5%. It has pilot jet and main jet so do you mean those two to change to higher ones by 5%?
I will test the bike with the original ones first

Ps I've picked up a complete pdf of the 3SH parts list with full pictures and Yamaha part numbers from the German TDR forum.
I'm currently in France on holiday but can email it to you when I'm near some wifi if it's any use to you?

I'm not an expert on jetting just relaying what I'd read years back. If in doubt get it set up by a tuner

Quick update
So my TDR belgarda had a full engine rebuild by Roadrunners motorcycles.
Also I have started premix. I used about 35 ml of 2 stroke oil to mix with the petrol.
There is video

What do you think guys?
Just wondering if it everything ok.

I used 200ml oil to a full tanks. Approx 10 litres.
Lovely little whistle to that engine too. Sounds great.

Sounds like the engine is very tight to me from the rebuild. Hard to tell from a YouTube video
Looks like you are making good progress though mate
