Another update with the brand new issue

Cold bike. I couldn't start start it. It didn't accept the throttle. Started with the choke only. When warmed up everything worked fine with the choke off.

Spent about 10 minutes on adjusting the carburetor air screw (to get the highest rev on idle)

Noticed that the bike is heating up a bit to fast. (Heat arrow pointed at 3/4)

Decided to go for a ride

In the beginning accelerated well, after 2-3 minutes started to feel like something is dragging behind.

Engine was running very slowly and it didn't accept the throttle.

I stopped and noticed that in neutral gear is hard to push bike forward of backwards. Looks like the engine is tight?

When it gets colder then gets back to normal.

    Any thoughts?

    Regards

@tdrnoob DEAR GOD 😦 Poor engine.

    IT'S LEAN FOR SURE,

I'm pretty sure that is an outrageously lean fuel condition.

    That is bad.

    Very bad.

Get to Jetting that before riding it anymore,

    Keep it real

      @darty said in TDR issue:

I mixed petrol as per instructions. Used about 35 ml of 2 stroke oil with 1 litre petrol.

No idea what to do with jetting.

I didn't expect that after full engine rebuild 😕

Did you check the carb was still on factory settings and ensure that it was squeaky clean?

@nottsbiker I didnt change anything in carb. Dissembled and cleaned with the carb cleaner. Then put it back together as it was before

Worth checking that the inlet rubber is not perished then (between carb and engine). Mine is shot to pieces and I've yet to see a new one for sale 😞

@tdrnoob That should pick up a lot quicker than that.

                    This needs investigating for sure.

If it's running lean, then the plug will be plastered white.

It's hard to tell from that video, but that's where I'd start.

@irongamer727 Do you mean the whistle?

Looks like it is the problem with the starter, but I think it does not affect the main issue

                            Spark plug news

According manual it looks like it is carbon fouling colour

                            Causes

rich fuel/air mixture (maybe air leek)
faulty choke (Not sure how to check as it looks all right)
                            blocked air filter (probably not)

@tdrnoob Found a small crack on that rubber, but it looked not too deep.

                              I have put some glue.

Last picture is to compare my one on right and the other one left from DT 125 (had a spare one). It looks like someday my one was modified.

Loads of 200's in France but most seem to be down south over near to Belgium / Switzerland and I'm currently in the West.

WR200's go for anywhere between €1000 and approx €2000.

Unfortunately France isn't up to speed with couriers etc and you pay silly money to ship from here to the uk whereas the other way round it's much cheaper.

DTR's go for €500 upwards so it's easy to see how Unit 5 Motos (etc) can sell them for £1500 unregistered in the uk by bringing in about 10 every visit.

If i was in the market for a tidy WR200 I'd drive over here via the tunnel and buy one in France as the choice is so much better than at home.

I have a big van. Ferry costs must be high though for commercial vehicle, need to bring back 3 I would say and someone who can find and buy? Or a working holiday, just don't tell the missus

@tdrnoob first thing I did was removed starter motor to see if its really that problem and it was. I had a broked bearing stay. Thats a plate behind a flywheel where starter clutch sits on needle bearing . I am replaced it , cleaned and lubed everything in there and its ok now.
