@louis-james Don't know about TZR cylinders.

    But

    3MB
    3MBP
    4FU
    Are bolt ons.

The 3BN has a slightly bigger bore, so shorter stroke, as a result, a 3MB con rod will bit too long.

How Many DT's in that video. That's mental.

I bet over there they can actually keep their bikes without them getting nicked left right and center!!! :@

@irongamer727 You can go overbore. Really need to modify the valve when you do. And you can have a new liner put in.

@irongamer727 I distinctly remember not using them on my rebuilds, so shouldn't worry

@andrewj1680 said in pinning power valve parts needed:

You could always just stick a big washer behind the bolt that runs through the middle you can lock it off that way which is what I have ended up doing today as since having port work and the power valve modded it kept moving a little over fully open

I ve bought the servo kit I can use the standard parts to pin it now
or if I can get the servo to fit my frame I will use it
(the dt engine is in a different frame ) its gonna be a mission to get the servo to fit I wanted to mount it under the tank but the cables are too short
not sure it will be worth the hassle

If you really want to learn more about it then I recommend reading Graham Bell's Two Stroke Performance Tuning. Very good book and will explain a lot.

They also ran a combustion ring which was adverse to performance.

But instead of paying x amount for a 3MB, Mick abbey will correct it for 30 quid.
