@harveymg there is a slight difference in shape so I'd guess you need the 200 exhaust but may need to adapt it to fit the 125 mounts

@jamesdowning Here's how to check if the plug sparking or not? Take it out, connect it to the HT lead and place the tip against a metal surface. Crank the bike with the kick starter and look for a spark, it will be very visible for a split second. If there's a spark then the plug is getting voltage, if there's nothing then you have an electrical problem.

@jamesrandall93 Sounds like a good plan, I would also check all your hoses and pipes for any splits. If there is a leak or a split hose that would most likely be the culprit???

@oldman Good point. Somehow forgot the basics.

To be honest I half assed the help here.

Go back to basics, to run you need fuel spark and air. If you got them three something should happen.

@Calum there’s wasn’t any issue I started using it to see if it actually did anything problem was my bike ran faultless and the only thing I noticed was the spark plug never had carbon build up and the additives main claim was that it cleans plugs I ran 50litres worth through the engine didn’t do the valves or anything never had to touch the engine

@Calum Ah. Probably building bikes out of old stock then. Not uncommon.

@Calum WR200 wheels fit and are a nice upgrade, front disc is bigger so you require the nissin caliper mind

Get hold of a genuine 3nc or 3py model code early dtr same bike, both were made by mbk in france for sale in france and Italy. Ive got a mint 91 3nc mine kicks in at 6500 then has a second hit at 10000 and bounces off 12000 all day. Flies off the clock with ease, sounds like a yz even with the standard pipe. They come up on ebay now and again, snap one up if you find one. Im keeping mine its the quickest bone stock dtr ive ever riden, also comes with decent paiolli suspension front and rear standard. I had never really rode this dtr so i rode to a small local bike show 2 Friday nights ago last one of the summer, it was then after she had warmed up i discovered this thing turn into a proper flying screamer lol.

Well almost another year has past and i have finally got this thing on its wheels, been waiting for the really hard to find stuff like a mint un butchered 88 wiring loom like rocking horse poo they are as the 88 DTR uses a separate full power YPVS controller from a TZR, its the only DTR model that does. Genuine Yamaha cable ties mint original black hub wheels with mint original spokes. The hardest of all the bits to find believe it or not the lower fork gaiter clamps that are also 88 model only, Yamaha done away with them 89 onward. Well should be ready for an mot by the end of the week hopefully. Will stick some pics up then as now its just a rolling chassis covered in grubby oily fingerprints.

I have YFS200 blaster vforce4 in my DT175/225MX, they just fit straight in bike has a stroker blaster crank blaster topend, i think they would be a bit narrow for a dtr. Wr200 might fit with a bit of moding. I have a DTR/YZ 125 engine running standard reeds with one and a quarter sets of petals to prevent high rpm flutter. Modded yz inlet rubber just to bolt holes need drilling and a bit trimmed off the right hand side, a modded open top dtr airbox with yz carb to airbox rubber with yz carb runs great
